Franzolini Architects

FR-A is an European architecture firm with offices located in Udine (Italy) and in London (UK). We believe that great architecture and products must simply improve the quality of living and we engage with passion in all dimensions of urban, architectural, and product design.

Our projects are the result of a comprehensive approach: from the creative concept to bespoke detailing, from the management of schedules and budgets to the execution of technically perfect buildings and objects. This is how we deliver quality across sectors and create long-lasting relationships with both our clients and professional partners.

Experience

Prior to the creation of FR-A, Enrico Franzolini has established himself as an architect with a coherent professional career spanning more than thirty years. The work ranges from retail complexes, to office buildings, private houses and interiors and shares a consistent design methodology and integrity. Many of his projects have been built, published and granted awards. As an industrial designer, he has collaborated over the years with many of the most prestigious manufacturers in the furniture industry such as Alias, Cappellini, Foscarini, Knoll International, Moroso.

FR-A picks up on the trajectory of the earlier studio, whilst incorporating new ways of understanding architecture on the part of the younger members of the team in a richer, more varied and more flexible way of approaching projects. The creation of this new platform will attempt to confront the economic, environmental and social challenges facing the architecture of the new millennium while being rooted and expanding the values of the modern European architectural culture the studio adheres to. Our team is committed to a research based approach, which is cultivated trough both academic work and participation in international competitions.
